Return & Refund Policy

Akira Knives sells sharp, safety-critical, and hygiene-sensitive products. Due to the nature of these products, all sales are subject to the return and refund conditions outlined below. By placing an order on akiraknives.com, the customer agrees to this Return & Refund Policy.

Return Window

Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery, provided all conditions in this policy are met.

Product Condition

Merchandise must be unopened and unused to qualify for a return or refund.

For knife sets and individual knives, this means the product must remain fully packaged and resale-ready. Knives must not be removed from blade guards, protective covers, sheaths, or individual boxes, and all protective materials and packaging must remain intact and undisturbed.

Once a knife or knife set has been opened, unpacked, or removed from its blade guard, protective cover, sheath, or individual packaging, the item is no longer eligible for return. Items that have been opened or unpacked cannot be accepted for return due to hygiene and safety concerns, except in cases of verified defects or fulfillment errors.

Hygiene & Safety

Kitchen knives are hygiene-sensitive and safety-critical products. For health and safety reasons, knife products that have been opened, unpacked, or removed from protective materials cannot be returned.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If an order arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, the customer must contact support@akiraknives.com within 3 days of delivery.
The request must include the order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos or videos of the product and packaging.

If the issue is verified, Akira Knives will provide a replacement or refund at no additional cost.

Return Authorization

All returns require prior written approval from Akira Knives.
Unauthorized return shipments will be refused and returned to the sender.

Return Address & Return Shipping Costs

All approved returns must be shipped to Akira Knives’ return facility in Europe. The return address will be provided after return authorization is granted.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer for all non-defective returns.
  • Customers should expect return shipping costs of approximately USD $30, depending on location and carrier.
  • Customers must use a trackable shipping method.
  • Shipping fees, customs duties, import taxes, and local fees are non-refundable.

Returns sent to any address other than the authorized European return address will not be accepted.

Refunds

Approved refunds are processed within 14 days after the returned item has been received and inspected.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Order Cancellations

Orders are processed immediately after purchase. Once an order has shipped, cancellation is no longer possible.
Refused deliveries or chargebacks may void eligibility for a refund, subject to review.

Chargebacks

Customers are required to contact Akira Knives before initiating a chargeback.
Abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized disputes may result in refusal of future orders.

International Shipping

International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and local fees.
These charges are non-refundable.
